Subedar Major Neeraj Chopra (27) the two-time Olympic medalist in javelin, took to social media, announcing his wedding with Himani Mor (25).
Per reports, Chopra’s wife hails from Larsauli in Haryana and is currently pursuing a Masters in Science in Sports Management and Administration from the McCormack Isenberg School of Management. She is also a tennis player who manages the in-house team at Amherst College as a graduate assistant. Previously, she gigged as a part-time assistant coach at Franklin Pierce University. Per the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), Himani Mor represented India with a career best rank of 27 in women’s doubles and 42 in women’s singles. An alumni of Miranda House (Delhi), her brother Himanshu is also a tennis player, per media reports. According to one publisher, Himani bagged a gold at the World Junior Tennis Championship in Malaysia in 2016, as stated on her school’s website. Meanwhile, naya navela hubby Neeraj Chopra has earned a historic javelin gold in the Tokyo Olympics and a silver in the Paris Olympics, among several other illustrious medals and accolades.
Announcing his new chapter with Himani on X/Twitter, Neeraj remarked that he is “grateful for every blessing” that brought the couple together. “Neerah <3 Himani,” the javelin champ wrote on his tweet, appended with a few pictures from his fairytale-like dreamy desi wedding ceremony.
