Dallas Cowboys Exploring Major Trade Up Into Top 14

Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly pushing hard to move up to pick No. 14 in Thursday’s NFL Draft.

According to Cowboys insider Mike Fisher, “Dallas is trying to trade up into top 14 or so” and are “‘desperate’ to do so, with one pinpointed target.”

Who the Cowboys have their eyes on isn’t quite clear.

Perhaps they’d like to trade up to get in the mix for offensive line help; with a player like Mississippi State’s Charles Cross coming to mind.

However, after losing a number of receivers this offseason, including Amari Cooper, the Cowboys could be looking for another playmaker on the outside to pair with CeeDee Lamb while Michael Gallup continues to heal.

Dallas is currently slated to pick 24th overall in the first round, with their next pick being No. 56 in the second, and a crop of mid-round picks namely in Round 5.

The Cowboys saw a lot of good players walk out the door over the past few months, so it’ll be imperative that the organization hits on some of these picks if they want to remain a viable playoff team.
