This Thursday night, the Dallas Cowboys will have to wait a while before making their 24th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. That gives Jerry Jones and Co. plenty of time to come to a decision.
There’s one big question still on the minds of Cowboys fans leading up to the draft, though. Who makes the final call on a pick? Is it Jerry? Or how about Stephen Jones? Does Mike McCarthy have much of a say?
Jerry told reporters on Tuesday that the process to decide on a pick is an “inclusive one.” However, if it turns out bad it was “Stephen’s call.” A pick that turns out well, on the other hand, is all Jerry.
“Our process is an inclusive one,” Jerry said. “We’ve said it. There’s a lot of talk in this business about who makes the call. Who actually makes the call. Taco was Stephen’s call. Parsons was my call.”

That’s pretty great. Something tells us Jerry will take full accountability for the good calls in this year’s draft.
The Cowboys begin their draft with the No. 24 overall pick on Thursday night. On Day 2, they’ll have the 56th, 88th and 129th overall picks.
