2 Arrests Made In Fatal Shooting After Police Questioned Cowboys Player

Earlier this month, Cowboys player Kelvin Joseph was questioned by Dallas police about a fatal drive-by shooting. Two men have since been arrested, Joseph not being one of them.

Two suspects have been arrested in relation to the crime: 28-year-old Aries Jones and 21-year-old Tivione English. The two were arrested in connection to a drive-by shooting that resulted in the death of Cameron Ray.

Joseph, meanwhile, does not face any charges and will not be arrested. Although his lawyer did confess the Cowboys player was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crime.

“Update in Homicide at 3600 Greenville Avenue On April 16, 2022, Dallas Police arrested 28-year-old Aries Jones and 21-year-old Tivione English, of Baton Rouge, LA, in connection to the homicide at 3600 Greenville Avenue,” the Dallas Police Dept. announced.

Joseph’s attorney, Barry Sorrels, released the following statement:

“Along with condolences to the Ray family, Kelvin apologies to the Dallas community for being anywhere near this type of incident,” Sorrels said, via WFAA.com.

Kelvin Joseph played his college ball at LSU and Kentucky. In the 2020 season he had 25 tackles and four picks, one of which he returned for a touchdown. The Dallas Cowboys took Joseph with the 44th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In his rookie season, Joseph appeared in 10 and started two games. He had 16 tackles and one fumble recovery during that span.
